28 NOVEMBER 2007: What's Up? Photos!
I've been all over the map this month - from working a lot to catching my third bad cold in two-and-a-half years. I'm sure you can figure out where I got it based on that time frame... Some time ago, I think when my wife was pregnant with Sam, I saw a cartoon in the paper where a dad was calling in sick to work with a cold, and was sarcastically looking at his kids - who were also sick - and saying to his boss "no sir, I have no idea where I got this from..." I saw that cartoon and thought "this is my future." That thought has turned out to be true. The three times I've been most sick since Sam was born have all been a result of catching something from her. Should be an interesting 16 years...
I also have begun what I have called my first of several "crowning achievments." Alright - I'm having a lot of dental work done (again!) resulting in some crowns being put in. Why are they called crowns? To me a "crown" is a small thing that should be put on the top (bottom?) of the tooth to reinforce it. It should not be two hours of drilling the existing material (and if you're lucky - like me - the gums!) to nearly nothing to have a temporary thing stuck into your jaw while you wait a couple of weeks for some lab to make a porcelain tooth for you.
I keep saying that it would just be easier to pull them all and have dentures put in.
If you go to my friend De's website, Retcon Redux, you'll find commentary about working at Suncoast, in response to other article floating around the web regarding how customers "should" shop. I have some comments to make, but I don't have time right now to address them. Hopefully by Monday. I wanted to bring it up now, though, just to say that when you read the article, it should be known that I was one of his supervisors...
Alright - enough of my rambling. I was able to get some of the stuff on the computer fixed so I can get some photos posted. So, in the words of one of Sammy's favorite characters: "Here you go. Enjoy!"
